As the sun sank and broke across the metal struts and cages in the Surf Shop yard it created this amazing optical effect in the light that hit the kayaks and boards as we went to pick up our rides. There has been no editing in this image , nor was the light flares and blemishes an accident of the lens , those flares , curves and rainbows creating this retro feel akin to a picture postcard of a 1970's California were actually present. No one would believe it was actually taken on a cold and sunny January evening on the Welsh Coastline , but believe that is what it is , and the goose pimples we got while out on the water could stand as the proof of it.
