Such delicate worlds are created from the hands & minds of vibrant youth as the warm July sun beats down of their foreheads & necks. Their fingertips, dirty with play & adventure. (Used Silly String in a young girls hands).

Location
This photo was collected in my yard during a summer birthday party. The younger people at the party were running around in the warm summer air, playing some sort of game of tag with cans of brightly colored silly string ('sillystring') - an activity that seems to be passed down from generation-to-generation in my circles. The activity was full of memory & nostalgia. The young person, featured here, started collecting all the string in the yard & with such focus & delicate fingertips, they began rolling the string into a ball as if creating a new world. The moment was beautiful, inspiring & emotional as I watched them mold the string with their hands. I wanted to capture & collect this important moment.Time
I remember we were making a barbeque lunch & while lunch was being readied the young people were passing the time by creating fun & distraction with one-&-other. This photo was captured at 11:04AM just before an earlier lunch was served.Lighting
All natural summer sunlight dappled in the shadow of an oak tree in my yard.Equipment
My side second camera the Canon 60D with a 24mm-70mm f4 macro lens.Inspiration
The moment & youthful energy really inspired me to collect this photo.Editing
Traditional digital darkroom style edits including exposure adjustments, dodging & burring were used to finalize this image. In my camera bag
If I am shooting digital (like this photo) I typically have my Canon 1DX MK II & or my Canon 60D (as in this case). I love to pack my canon 24mm-70mm f4 macro lens because of its versatility & relative speed for most occasions. I will often also bring a 50mm 1.8 lens, a manfrotto 190 tripod & my 600EX-RT speedlight.Feedback
Live & be present in each & every moment. Key into the emotional themes around you & wait for the inspiration to present itself to you. Don't force or contrive moments like this, just watch & remember sometimes this craft is about the moments you don't collect or capture, rather the experience you gain from living those moments instead of taking a picture.
