Macro Photography of the first sunset of New Year 2021 traces its pattern within the ripples of water of the sea taken on the shores of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. Proof that Nature and the Sun can still create an Abstract and spectacular array of colour and texture even during the coldest months of winter. The photograph was created in low light conditions and taken from a low POV in order to capture as much reflected light and contrasting shadow from the unusually still tidal water to create an emotive , warm and relaxing image symbolically representing the Hopes and Dreams for the year ahead and our global future which ring in each heart at any New Year , but are all the more poignant after the hardships and sorrows of 2020 .
