Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken about an hour and half away from me in the Shawnee National Forest. It is filled with a lot of rock formations that allow you to see miles and miles when standing at top. Some places to get to are pretty risky. However, people come from all over just to see and hike through the Garden of Gods and the forest all around. Breathtaking no matter what season you go in. It is truly a place where your not only closer to GOD but you can see GOD's Artistry.

Time

I took this photo mid day. It was rather hot and humid out but the colors just popped.. One of them lazy days. As well I had set and watched for awhile as people climb to the head of the Camel. Some unfortunately has fallen from this. Yet, all is in awe of it.

Lighting

I am the type that I go with more of the feel of the light than per being perfected on it. Depending on angles, cloud coverage and time of day.

Equipment

I used a Cannon Camera.

Inspiration

I absolutely love this place and the calmness that surrounds me when I lay foot on it. I often find a high rock that is somewhat secluded and do some deep thinking and praying on it. Just being with the world, nature and balancing myself again.

Editing

I sharpened the color a bit, Other than that I like to keep things fresh.

In my camera bag

I normally have Cannon Camera and the basic two lenses. Eventually I want to add to my selection.

Feedback

I believe you need to focus on the whole clip. Not just the main focal point but look at the background as well. Also, what feeling do you get when you look at a landscape??? This is what you want to get across in your photo for all to see.
