Behind The Lens

Location

Lacey Chivon, just my loving big baby, I got down on the floor so i could be at her level to take this photo. She is an amazing feline, she is almost always by my side, she follows me around my home, even in the bathroom!I am close to all 4 of my felines, 3 of them sleep in my bed and they all weigh over 14lbs, Lacey is 16.5 lbs. She is a loving, friend and companion, I am so happy I rescued her. My other 3 are pre bred Pixie-Bob-Bobs.

Time

I was on the floor with Lacey, It was probably mid day, I always use flash. she is very photogenic.

Lighting

I have a great camera. and because I made sure I had enough ambient lighting I did not have to worry about my lighting. I always use fill flash.

Equipment

I was on the floor with my Nikon D750, I do have a flash attached.

Inspiration

I take photos as I see life happen, I am inspired by reality.I love my cats, they are my family , bith my parents are deceased and I am an only child. I have been pretty much alone since my injury in 2005.

Editing

I am a true as you would say I guess , a realist. I enlarge my photos on the computer and that is usually about all I do. Once in awhile I may change the setting, not as a general rule.

In my camera bag

My main camera is a Nikon D790, I also a D300s and do not really use any longer, a Nikon 5500, standby,I have a Nikon 70-200 2.8 lens, a Nikon 28-300 zoom.I have some assorted other lenses as well. I also have a wide angle lens, a D90s

Feedback

When you work with animals it is important to be familiar with them, the same thing with people, make them comfortable and be on their level. I tend to use my large lens for many of my shots, you need to have a lot of ambien light.
