Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at my home near Atlanta, GA. It’s my sister’s cat, Wellington.

Time

As the sun was going down around 8pm on a summer evening, golden hour was lighting up the room perfectly.

Lighting

The sunlight from golden hour was lighting up the room perfectly.

Equipment

Shot on a Canon Rebel t3i with a 50mm 1.8 lens.

Inspiration

Wellington is very photogenic and was looking like a model at the time.

Editing

Kept it pretty basic, and used a curves layer to adjust the lighting. A few other small fixes.

In my camera bag

Now I’ve got a Canon 5D Mark III with an 85mm 1.8, and a 50mm 1.8. I also carry two speed lights and always some extra batteries !
