One of the most exciting times is when a caterpillar has made its J and then begins the final transformation to change into a chrysalis and then emerge as a butterfly. You can still see the top section of the caterpillar. It has split its skin and the old skin is working its way up revealing its body that will harden and become the chrysalis. It is amazing to watch and be part of this transformation.
