Location
It was a hot summer day and I've got a student to teach photography, but I didn't want it to happen in some dark and dull studio. So we took our model Lera, got in the car and whent to some place near the river, where I vaguely remembered was some nice motor-boat dock.Time
It was near midday, and hot, so we had to make a lesson not too long, 'cause in a couple of hours it would be really infernal.Lighting
It was near midday, so the Sun was pretty high, and the shadows were really angular in the open. I literally had to wait for the clouds.Equipment
Nikon D810, Tamron 70-200/2.8Inspiration
When we arrived near the dock, we saw a sign telling that it's a private boat-club now (or something like that), so we had to turn back... But I didn't want to turn back. I called the guard, he called the boss, gave me the number, so I called the boss, the boss was a really nicew dude, so he called the guard and told him to let us in. I knew, that this shooting had to be worth all that calls. And I know it was. Lera was doing great, the student too, and I made this photo just to be sure our beautiful model gets something great from this adventure :)Editing
There was some postwork, but nothing special — just some minimum color correction and small imperfection-removing.In my camera bag
I usualy take my Nikon D810, and two Tamron zooms — 24-70/2.8 and 70-200/2.8. They cover everything I need the camera for :) And I always take some old lenses with me — like Helios 44-2 or Pentacon 2-50.Feedback
Don't be afraid to do everything (legal) to get to an interesting location. Never give up :)
