A road trip by shared taxi from Marrakech to the small village of Sti Fadma also referred to as Setti Fatma - Setti Fadma around 90 minutes drive in the Ourika Valley.
We crossed the bank to locate the pathway to climb the waterfall although not going all the way to the top as my BPPV (vertigo) isn't good if I have to tilt my head these days. After clambering back down the slippery rocks we decided to have lunch at a table embedded into the river.
You need good shoes for this trip, trainers at the very minimum - we saw guides helping ladies wearing sandals and flip flops as coach excursions describe the day trip as a "walk up the waterfall" so be warned!
Some very wobbly wooden bridges to cross in several places help you to get to the small café- restaurant of your choice.
TIP: We chose a light lunch from the hidden menu rather than the 3 course tajine menu which is always handed to the tourists.
