Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my backyard in my garden.

Time

Since being home because of the coronavirus, I have extra time to enjoy gardening and how the light falls at dusk. The lighting was golden and then turned blue because of the shade of the tree.

Lighting

The lighting was golden and then turned blue because of the shade of the tree over the flowers.

Equipment

Canon EOS 6D 50mm prime Aperture f/1.8?ISO 100?Shutter 1/640?Focal Length 50/1

Inspiration

I love flowers and my garden is my happy place. This was a new flower I had never seen before and bought it that day. Replanted it and placed in by my water fountain. I started getting very close and looking at the flowers from different angles.

Editing

I did some cropping to make the single flower be the focal point. The edges were blown out and over exposed because of the sun, so I added a bit of a dark vignette.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 6D, Canon 50mm prime, Canon 85mm prime and Tamron 70-200 mm

Feedback

Get in and look close at the details and use the natural surrounding to frame your subject. And go out at dusk or dawn for great lighting...
