Every year in the Sacramento area there is a fundraiser for childhood cancer in March called St. Baldrick's Day. People collect money to shave their heads. Here is a mother supporting her daughter, who raised money for shaving her head, in the fundraising event by shaving her head too!

This photo was taken on day after school. The daughter wanted to participate in St. Baldrick's Day Celebration in our area which is an event to raise money for childhood cancer. She took pledges and said if she raised a certain amount she would shave her head in support of the sick children. Her mother was so proud of her daughter's idea she said she would do it too. This photo was taken on a sunny day spring day in March.Time

The black and white would pop the emotion in their eyes and show the joy, happiness and pride that the both were sharing as mother and daughter.Lighting
I am sure the day was very bright and this photo was possible a bit overexposed. I have always found these captures make the best candidates for changing to black and white.Equipment
