Location
I took this shot on my local nature reserve it has a lake and marsh land to attract all different types of wildlife.Time
This was taken at sunrise just as the sun came over the trees on the far side of the lake.Lighting
I used the island in the middle of the lake as a block to the direct sunlight and got this amazing pattern of sunbeams and reflections.Equipment
This was taken on an Olympus M1X with the 40-150 f2.8 pro lens attached.Inspiration
I could see the light coming through the trees changing as the sun rose, and it was added to by the reflected light off the lake.Editing
I did a little noise reductions and a slight warm to the image. In my camera bag
I usually go out with two bodies and 2-3 lenses. I use an Olympus M1X and an M1 mkiii, I take the 300 f4 prime and the 40-150 f2.8. I also take the 60mm macro or the 45mm f1.8 prime.Feedback
Just watch the light as it develops, visit the same place and find the very best time, this spot only works in the spring, the sun position isn’t right at other times of the year.
