In the Catalina Mountains, north of Tucson, Arizona is an area called Windy Point. It's a fantastic area for seeing the city lights and for rock climbing. With many funky rock formations, known as hoodoos, it also makes for a great photography spot. It's also just far enough form the city to be able to see the stars while the city lights light up the foreground. On this particular night there was lots of Airglow (the greenish tint to the sky). This is caused by radioactive particles bouncing off the atmosphere.
