Intimate landscapes or small scenes are often overlooked, in favor of grand landscapes. While I enjoy exploring compositions from both of these perspectives, my appreciation for and desire to discover intimate landscapes is growing. This Death Valley scene was taken during the morning twilight, when the light is soft and brings out unique colors in the rolling hills of the Badlands.
