Even I do not like to take photos of someone else’s art, I sometimes cannot help myself and I do it, like in this case in Melbourne while I was in a walking tour. I am convinced that it is a way of helping the artist to make his or her talent known.

Location
The photo was taken in Melbourne Australia. I was with a Walking Tour and the guide took us to a zone in the City with plenty bars and restaurants. We went through some narrow streets and passages and found this spot where this tall wall with the graffiti was. Even I love graffitis specially if they are so well done like this one, I always have some kind of second thought when is the moment to take the photo or later publishing it, I feel that I am using the work of art of somebody else. It is the same that I feel when taking a photo of a statue or a monument. But, in this case the graffiti or better said the Painting on the wall of this building was so beautiful, that I said to me: "Yes, I allow you". Then I give myself permission to do it.Time
It was after midday. The day was a bit cloudy, with haze and the light was a bit strange, bright but not as intense as it is common in the afternoons in Melbourne.Lighting
As said the light was bright but not aggressively intense, besides it was after midday and some clouds were helping to have good lighting to this paint for which the painter has used dark colors.Equipment
To take this photo I used my Canon 7D with the 28-135 mm 1:3.5-5.6 EF IS zoom lens. Neither flash nor tripod were used. I tried to have an aperture very small f/18 and a slow shutter speed in order to get a good definition and depth of field, trying to get as much details as possible.Inspiration
As I said I love graffitis specially if they are well done and this in my opinion was excellent. I have had the opportunity to take photos of very good pieces of street art like the one on this photo. I have others that I loved and that I published in my ViewBug Gallery and have many others in my files. This particular one called my attention even in Melbourne there hundreds, probably thousands of very good ones.Editing
Yes, I did post-processing. First, I did Camera RAW 12.2.1 of Canon and then I used ADOBE Photoshop. I tried not to over edit the photo and after I had made the adjustments, I inserted the logo with my signature. In my camera bag
I have a Canon 7D that is soon be 10 years old. I have the lens that was used for this photo the 28-135 mm 1:3.5-5.6 EF IS lens, I also have in my bag a 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS II lens and a 55-250 mm 1:4-5.6 IS EF-S., Canon Remote Control, extra batteries, CF cards, extension tubes and an adapter for the 28-135 mm lens to invert it and use it as a macro lens that I am still trying to dominate. I have several tripods, one monopod and many filters.Feedback
My advices to take photos like this is trying to get a good light, not too intense, if possible, avoid shadows or partial shadows use a low ISO a low speed and a small aperture and forget about flash. My other advice is not related to photography and is: If you have your camera with you and you have time when you see the graffiti take the photo, do not wait to the next day or the next week, graffitis are very temporal, I would say ephemeral and short live. It has happened to me that I said: "I will come other day" and when I was in the spot again the street art was gone, spoiled or covered with other graffitis.
