Behind The Lens

Location
Chain of Rocks Bridge aka Route 66 Bridge from the Illinois side of the Mississippi near St. Louis.
Time
I took this photo in the late morning hours just before Thanksgiving 2019.
Lighting
All natural light, the sun was a perfect location and not overwhelming.
Equipment
Canon 7D Mark II, Sigma 24-70mm lens and a polarizing filter
Inspiration
I had wanted to explore this bridge since I was a child, but the bridge was closed to the public for decades. It was finally opened to foot and bicycle traffic and I had some time on my hands and my camera in my car.
Editing
The only post-processing was to convert from RAW to JPG. I just felt it didn't need anything else.
In my camera bag
Canon 7D Mark II, 24-70mm Sigma and 70-200mm Sigma lenses. a couple of Speedlites and various MagMod accessories.
Feedback
Just do it. Take the shot, don't over think it. This was just a random shot that I just really liked a lot.
