Location
I was in Alton taking photos and saw ice bunched up under a bridge. I used my Sigma Macro lens to capture the image.Time
If was in the afternoon, roughly between 1pm and 2pm, I believe.Lighting
It was all natural light. I really lucked out here. No flash or extra lighting needed that day.Equipment
Just my old trusty Nikon D90 I had. Nothing else but a steady hand.Inspiration
It just looked really amazing, to see how the water moved along the Mississippi when it was so cold. It'd bunch up and freeze along the side. That is why I took that shot.Editing
I just brightened it up a bit in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I usually have my 2 camera bodies, 2 flashes and my 4 lens. An armful really haha. Oh and my batteries. Cannot forget those!Feedback
Patience, and warm clothing haha along with a steady hand. If you need a pod, use it, either a mono or a tri. They'd help, too.
