Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a sunrise in Walton on the Naze. I really enjoy this location as it gives you plenty of opportunities for good shots.

Time

This was early in the morning - sunrise. Probably around 5 am or so.

Lighting

You cannot choose you lightong outdoors but I knew that the weather is going to be nice. The pink hues were just great for the tranquility ambience I was hoping for.

Equipment

This was shot with my Nikon D5500 on a tripod, using the Lee filters.

Inspiration

I really enjoy taking photos of landscapes and sea-scapes. This one was inpired by all the great long exposure photos that I have seen. I just wanted to have something similiar under my belt.

Editing

I used Lightroom for postprocessing.

In my camera bag

I have my lenses - usually zoom lens and my favourite wide angle. I also carry filters and cleaning kit.

Feedback

I wood choose a peaceful day - check the weather first. It’s also good to scout your location and choose a spot in advance.
