It took me more than an hour to get this picture of my own eye, but I'm pleased with the results.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a friends bathtub! Fun fact, the hot water wasn't working at the time and I had to stand on the bathroom counter to get the shot!

Time

This was taken around midday to allow as much light into the bathroom as possible.

Lighting

We wanted to keep the lighting soft and natural so I used only the natural light coming from a large window on the right.

Equipment

This was shot on a canon 5D Mark iii!

Inspiration

We knew we wanted to do something creative with flowers and in water so we bought a ton of flowers and some bath dye and just got creative! It was all on a whim!

Editing

This photo required a good bit of post processing, removing the sides of the tub for the illusion of more water, etc. The tub water was also a bit lighter blue!

In my camera bag

I always carry my two Canon 5D Mark iii's, 50mm, 85mm, and 70-200mm lenses!
