There is a misconception, and I believe it once upon a time, that Texas just doesn't get pretty fall foliage. Since I began photography I learned that we do indeed have lovely fall foliage and other fall colors. You just have to look in the right places and see things the right way. My sister and I took a drive one November day and found cypress, maple, soapberry, sumac and other trees with leaves in various shades of reds and yellows. Also berries in bright colors. These photos were taken along the Frio River in Concan, Texas.
