Snow Leopards are on the IUCN Red List due to the loss of their habitat which is the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. At the present time, there are less than 10,000 Snow Leopards in the wild. This number is projected to decrease by 10% in the next twenty years.
The Biopark Zoo in Albuquerque New Mexico is home to three snow Leopards, this one being the youngest, Kailash who was born in May 2019
