This photo was taken at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. It's all about patience; waiting for the exact photo you saw in your head to show up in front of you.Time
I remember spending the day at the Aquarium with my mother. It was a spur of the moment decision, as neither of us had ever been there. This photo was midway through our adventure.Lighting
I wanted the color and opaqueness of the jellyfish to show, so I angled to capture an all black background.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon Coolpix camera with no added equipment, just the basics.Inspiration
I always loved the movement of jellyfish. They look so graceful and weightless.Editing
This photo has no processing or editing; this is the exact image I saw in person. In my camera bag
I always keep extra battery packs, a wall charger in case I just take too many photos and need more battery time, extra memory cards, and a copy of my passport! You never know.Feedback
Just take your time. It doesn't need to be a pile of photos to sift through when you have it set to rapid fire your shots. I took 2 of these shots and this was my favorite.
