Behind The Lens

Location

I am an amateur photographer. I went on a Photographer Train ride on the Durango Colorado narrow gauge railroad. The ride was an all day affair. They would go to certain locations and stop, let the photographers off. Then the train would back up and come toward us for the photo opportunities. This process was done a dozen times throughout the day. This is one of hundreds I took this day. I got many great shots. This one was over a trestle bridge.

Time

This one was around noon in the high country between Durango and Silverton Colorado. We left about 8 am and returned about 7 pm.

Lighting

It was midday. So sun was high. Had to set down a couple of stops.

Equipment

I used the following equipment and settings: Olympus E-M10MarkII DateTime - 2019:09:27 12:35:22 ExposureTime - 1/125 seconds FNumber - 11 ISOSpeedRatings - 400 DateTimeOriginal - 2019:09:22 11:41:05 ShutterSpeedValue - 1/125 seconds ApertureValue - F 11.00 FocalLength - 40 mm Lens Model - OLYMPUS M.40-150mm F4.0-5.6 R

Inspiration

I have always wanted to get some great photos of old steam engines. I also enjoy landscape photography. I got to do both at one time on this trip.

Editing

I did very little other then crop and some minor contrast adjustments. I try my best to do as much in camera as I can.

In my camera bag

I carry a camera bag with my camera and several lenses, with filters, and a tripod. I also have extra batteries and SD cards.

Feedback

They usually have this photographer train one weekend in September every year.
