Location
I went down to the Garden of the Gods early one morning to photograph the moon setting. When I got there and set up for the photograph, there was enough light from the sunrise to get the foreground in detail. There is a haze around the moon from some low clouds. I decided B&W looked better then the color version.Time
This was early morning about 6 am one day in February.Lighting
The lighting came from the Sun rising. It gave me enough light to capture foreground in detail.Equipment
Olympus EM10 MK II. Olympus 40-150mm telephoto lens. Shutter 1/8 second F4 ISO 1600 Focal length 40mm, hand held, no flash.Inspiration
I like trying to get the moon with interesting foregrounds. Even though I didn't get the moon I think this ended up being a better photograph.Editing
This is pretty straight of the camera. My goal is to get it right in camera and do very little pos-processing.In my camera bag
I carry a bag with my camera, multiple lenses, filters, and a tripod.Feedback
Always be ready for the unexpected. I went for one idea and got another when it presented itself at the location.
