Location
This photo I took at Willingham Woods near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, England. There are a series of paths through the pine woods with plenty of bird life and small mammals to capture.Time
This was captured late morning. I took a break from the driving by having a quick circuit of this popular walk.Lighting
It was an overcast day with soft light cascading through the tree tops.Equipment
I use a Panasonic LUMIX GX8 camera, coupled on this occasion with Lumix GVario 100-300mm lens. I rarely use a tripod and thank the IBIS in both the GX8 and the lens to help eliminate motion blur.Inspiration
This Robin was literally posing for the camera. I couldn’t not take the photo. The Robin was so calm and patient in my presence. I dare say it was waiting for a handful of meal worms.Editing
This picture is straight out of the camera. I only started editing recently using Affinity for iPad.In my camera bag
In my bag I will carry what I think I will need for the given location. Usually this will be my camera, Lumix GX8, and a number of MFT lenses to cover any eventuality: PanyLeica 8-18mm, PanyLeica 15mm, Lumix GVario 12-60mm, Lumix G X Vario 45-175mm, Lumix GVario 100-300mm mk2. I always have a remote release, Apple SD card adapter, Charger, Spare SD card, Cross body strap & wrist strap, Joby Gorilla Tripod, microusb cable, alcohol lens wipes, WalkieTalkiesx2.Feedback
Take a moment out of your routine to walk somewhere you’ve never been before, and take your camera. There are lots of places to stop on our routine drives/commutes where creative opportunities lay in wait.
