Behind The Lens

Location

The shot was taken off the western coast of Canada

Time

The sun was setting as this was taken just before 6PM.

Lighting

The clouds were dramatic and the lighting was low but it created the beautiful lighting I needed to create this shot.

Equipment

Canon 1Ds II, Canon 28-70 L 2.8 @28mm

Inspiration

The ship was heading toward a glacier and it was absolutely beautiful. I had to take photos !

Editing

The shot was convered in Nik Silver Efx to black and white and a very dramatic photo was created.

In my camera bag

Currently I have a Canon R5, Canon 7D II, Canon 90D along with Canon 400 DO with 1.4x, Canon 100-500L, Canon 100-400L II and 70-200 L 2.8 III with other support lenses.

Feedback

Opportunity is everything. However you still need the eye to see the potential for beautiful photos even when it is not clear how they will turn out.
