I recently went to the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah with some friends to learn how to photograph the Milky Way Galaxy. None of us had shot the night sky before. this is one of the more successful images from that night. In the foreground is light reflecting off the salt flats and vehicle lights from Interstate 80 which runs East and West through Utah. I had a friend help me with the editing, also a first for me. I would love to hear you thoughts, especially if you know about shooting this subject

Very nice first try! I like the uncluttered foreground. May I ask, why does the horizon also appear glowing? Reflection?

the glowing line is caused by vehicle lights on the interstate in the distance. the light reflections on the salt flats are caused by some vehicles far behind me at the wrong (or correct) time to light up the uneven ground

Sweet capture, Brian! Nice to have a place sufficiently dark to capture the Milkway galaxy without freezing. Congratulations!
