Usually I go for landscape or abstract photography. I have been looking forward to do some portrait. I love the look and the feel of it

Location
This photo was taken in a park witch is located in a river island at the center of Kaunas, Lithuania.Time
It probably was about noon when we came to this park.Lighting
Sky was very overcast witch is super common on mid autumn days. I love the soft light at days like these, it's probably my favorite light to shoot portraits in.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D750 camera body with 50mm f1.8 lens.Inspiration
For the last few years I do an "Autumn portrait" series every fall. When the autumn colors are in full swing I find few models and we try to find the most beautiful nature spots to take these autumn inspired portraits. I always loved this season, and every year I'm exited for this portrait project.Editing
Usually for portrait photos I do a full skin retouch in Photoshop, since I like a clean look so tiny unnecessary details wouldn't distract from the main aspects. I also like to add some more warn tones so that the autumn vibes would be more prominent. In my camera bag
I like to keep things simple and organized. So if I'm going for a portrait shoot I usually take my Nikon D750 body and my favorite 85 mm f1.8 lens (witch recently replaced my 50mm), also a 24 mm 1.8 lens in case I want to take some full body shots or wider shots to take in more of the surroundings.Feedback
Overcast days are your friend. No harsh shadows means softer look, less sharp lines that would deform the shapes and distract from the main subject or the details in the nature. Also look for low hanging tree branches, it's always nice when you can get a tight portrait and still incorporate the beautiful autumn leaves.
