Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my garden. I surrounded my vegetable garden with sunflowers so everywhere i looked I was looking at a flower.

Time

I spend a lot of time in my garden, there are so many different things to photograph, from bugs to vegetables and of course there's nothing better than natural light, this was taken around 3 pm in the afternoon on a bright clear day.

Lighting

I take 90% of my photos outside so I really used the bright blue sky to light up the big yellow petals. Sometimes it's being out at the right time of day and sometimes it's positioning yourself to take advantage of the natural light and colors.

Equipment

I shoot with a Canon 5D MarkIII

Inspiration

The brightness of the flower against the blue sky, I had to take advantage of such a crisp clear day.

Editing

In my camera bag

In my bad I have a Canon 5D Mark III, and a Canon 1300D. A SIgma 70-300mm , a canon 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and a 75-300mm lens. Macro filters, extra batteries, lens cloth, extra camera cards and two camera straps, one shoulder and one wrist.
