This photo was taken in an antique store. Don't really remember where. I carry my camera with me all the time, and I love antique stores.Time
This is an indoor shot. It was probably mid afternoon.Lighting
The lighting was just the natural lighting through some windows and front doors as well as overhead lighting in an antique store.Equipment
I used a Sony a6000. No flash. No tripod. Just handheld walking around.Inspiration
I was wandering around in an antique store looking for still life opportunities that might appeal to me. This warm, golden old luggage just caught my eye. The aged suitcase itself was a beauty, but the brown tones really captivated me.Editing
I believe I adjusted the contrast slightly. In my camera bag
I carry 2 Sonys....an a6000 and a Nex-6, one with a 17-50mm lens, the other with a 50-210mm. I carry a couple other lenses as well as some extra batteries and cleaning materials. I usually leave my bag in the car and walk around with just the 2 cameras. I amFeedback
I am not one to plan a composition. I am almost totally a candid photographer. I take candid street shots, and I often walk around antique shops looking for tableaus that already exist. I'm just trying to capture what I see as it is. So many spectacularly talented photographers are just the opposite. But, that's a wonderful thing about photography. Our photography is an expression of who we are. I'm spontaneous and raw rather than strategic and perfectionist.
