Location
The photo was taken in Olten a small City in Switzerland.Time
We made this photo on 2019 August the 17th at about 16:30.Lighting
The only source of light was the natural light. It was a moderately warm but cloudy day. But there was enough light for some great pictures of this kind :-)Equipment
For this shot I used my Nikon Z6 in combination with the great Nikkor Z 50mm f1.8 S Lens.Inspiration
On this day I had the idea to take some photos with the topic "fire". The burning Newspaper is a classic and I had to try this in my own style.Editing
After selecting the best photos, I corrected the light in the image a little if necessary. Then the image was cropped (if necessary). Then for this photo I chose this warm color look on the face of the model and the light spots like the fire and the red sweater. I made the slightly darker parts of the picture a little darker and chose a slightly colder shade. This gives the photo a special look and last but not least I did a classic beauty retouching. Finished. In my camera bag
For my portrait shootings I usually use my full format DSLR with a set of (relatively) fast primes: A 50mm, a 85mm or 90mm macro, the magnificent Sigma 24-35mm f2.0 Art Zoom for the slightly wider angles and the 70-200mm.Feedback
With a good idea and a relaxed model in a good mood you have nearly everything you need. Then choose your shooting location and watch the light during the shoot. A camera with manual control (but don't forget: the best camera is the one you have with you) and then go for it. And yes, don't forget to do some the post-processing ;-)
