Location
The Quartier St-Leu d'Amiens is a picturesque neighborhood of Amiens that dates from the Middle Ages. The houses follow the River Somme so in its beginnings the water and mills set the pace but today this neighborhood has a lively restaurant and bar scene.Time
I spent the entire morning wandering up and down the street of St-Leu taking photographs. This one was taken mid morning after the streets had cleared of people heading to the office.Lighting
Although there was major cloud cover, the lighting was just perfect to highlight the blues of the scene!Equipment
My lightweight Nikon 3500, no flash and no tripod were my companions.Inspiration
Who could resist the play of the line along this street! I love the lines created by the middle ages beams, the windows, the rooflines, the gutters, the fencing, the light poles, the bridge and the willow limbs. The icing on the cake would be the reflection of the bridge!Editing
I used Luminar 4 to lift the haze and to brighten the image a bit.In my camera bag
I've traded my Nikon D90 for the lighter weight N 3500 due to bad wrists. With the fixed length lens I also carry a 70-300 zoom.Feedback
Focus on the details and composition.
