This reddish egret was just standing along side a salt marsh pond along I35 near Rockport, Texas. Normally, they are very active hunters, making moves that look like a combination of karate and dancing. It was a dreary morning and cool for March so I guess it was either not hungry or just put off by the weather (as I was); fortunately I waited just long enough for it to take flight and got a flight shot as well.
