Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken at Lake Louise in Alberta Canada.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon.

Lighting

There was mixed lighting due to a partial cloudy sky. It made for great reflectance on the glacier fed lake.

Equipment

I used a Canon 6D DSLR camera and a Canon EF 8-15mm f/4 Fisheye zoom lens to take the wide angle picture. The picture was taken hand held with no flash or filters.

Inspiration

This is a beautiful place of such natural beauty. It is wonderfully maintained by Parks Canada and a must see for visitors in Alberta.

Editing

I use Lightroom and Adobe CC for post processing. For this picture i only tweeted the haze adjustment and sharpening.

In my camera bag

I am a longtime Canon user. I usually travel with an assortment of Canon L lenses and full frame Canon cameras (5D MKIII and 5DSR)however when i hike i only take what i think o will need as weight can be an issue for longer hikes. I use Lee Filters, mostly ND graduated filters and Big and Little stoppers. I carry these always. I take with me as well a Manfrotto Tripod.

Feedback

This is a very busy spot at times so wait if you have to to get the photo you want so be patient and be polite when around people.
