This spot is locally known as "Nineteen mile". It is where the Nueces River crosses TX HWY 55 and is approximately 19 miles from Uvalde and 19 miles from Camp Wood. It is a popular swimming an fishing spot, and we have often paddled our Kayaks from upstream and used this as a get out point.
