Location
This Photo was taken on Dennisport Beach on Cape Cod MA. I love sunrises and sunsets and got up early to watch to sun rise over the Atlantic.Time
The time was sunrise-approximately 6 am EST.Lighting
I love Cape Cod MA. I love the Ocean, I love sunrises and sunsets over the ocean. I was sitting on a bench on the beach, and as the sun rose seagulls were flying around. I love Seagulls, too. With the Camera slightly tilted I was able to capture the sunrise over the ocean and seagulls flying. The glares of the sun fit perfectly into the photo.Equipment
I had a 35 mm photo camera at the time. Just held in facing the Sunrise slightly tilted which enabled me to get the Sunrise, Ocean, sky, and seagulls.Inspiration
This was my first time at the Cape at Dennisport in a long while. I made sure that I was up and on the beach at Sunrise= approximately 6 am EST. I was ecstatic watching the sunrise over the ocean. This photo was purely spontaneous with great results.Editing
The film was processed at a local CVS store and the images were put onto a disc. I put this into my laptop's hard drive and was tremendously pleased with the results. No additional editing was done.In my camera bag
At that time, I had a 35 mm camera- basically a point and shoot- to be honest. Now I have a Nikon DSLR and have been back at the Cape several other times. I now have a zoom lens and have gotten some unique sunrises,Feedback
My advice would e is go with your gut. If you see something wondrous capture it. My eye is my best in spotting something wondrous. One could use film or digital- the outcome could be the same depending on how you shoot a sunrise- what your eye sees in the viewfinder. I have film photos on VB, but mostly digital photos now. I have many sunrises on the Cape and many Sunsets as well. When I was in Jerusalem Israel in 1989, I got spectacular shot of a Red Sunset over the Old City. This was on a slide. I am awaiting for money to put many spectacular slides and prints onto a CD.
