In the entirety of this beautiful planet there are only a handful of places where this phenomenon exists. Every single morning these wild Kangaroos and Wallabies make their way to a certain beach. Allowing a cautious, yet incredible experience.
I currently live barely over an hour away from this special beach and yet I've only been half a dozen times. I think there's a strange phenomenon in which we as human beings settle down in a spot and take for granted everything around us. Our eyes so fixated on our goals that we fail to see the beauty around us.

I remember growing up on the Island state of Tasmania, Australia. I recall complaining to my mother and father boredom. I was sick of Tasmania. I thought that my city was shit, that there was nothing to do around me. That it was a backwards and boring part of the world.

After leaving the state and traveling for a few years I came back and saw it in a completely new light. I breathed the crisp, fresh air. I indulged in the exceptionally delicious fresh local produce, I drove to places that I would never have bothered to before and I was blown away by almost everything I saw.
I took my father with me for a 7 day roadtrip. We hiked, we explored, we ate good food, drank good wine, camped out in nature... and I had my 60 year old father feeling young and free, smiling all the time, discovering new places with awe written across his weathered face. It was as special, as uplifting and rewarding as anything that I have experienced.

The funny thing was that I could have experienced it 5-10 years earlier. But my eyes were blind, my mind was closed and my feelings were in line with my negative perceptions and attitude towards what I now can finally consider a blessing of an upbringing... To be raised in such a special part of the world.

I am fully aware that it's extremely easy to take for granted everything around you. Be it people in your life or the nature around you. If you can actively seek to overcome that attitude then you open yourself up to a multitude of plethoric opportunities.
And I will endeavour to go to this beautiful and special beach more often 😄 #cultureofcreatives #whitsundays #capehillsborough
