Location
I took this photo in my back yard after looking out my kitchen window and seeing how beautiful the tree looked after a fresh snow. I "play" at photography and usually go with my eye's view when picking what to shoot.Time
This picture was taken during the early morning hours before the sun came out and started melting the snow. South Carolina snows usually don't last long so you have to catch snow images quickly and early. The way the light snow of that day laid on the branches was amazing and made each branch stand out in an amazing way.Lighting
Given the early morning hour and the fact that I was surrounded in white reflection, lighting was not an issue here; it simply allowed me to catch the individuality of the branches.Equipment
The shot was taken with my Canon Little Rebel on the manual setting; no telephoto or anything.Inspiration
As stated before, I let my eye draw me to pictures I wish to take. When I looked out on my back yard that day I was instantly drawn to this tree; it was so unique and intricate regarding how the snow sat on the branches. It was so beautiful that I immediately grabbed my camera, coat, boots, and ran out back to start taking pictures. I usually take multiples of one thing in various ways so that hopefully I get at least one good shot.Editing
No, nothing was done post-processing; what you see is what you get.In my camera bag
My camera case always stays packed. My camera with regular lens, a fresh battery, two telephone lens, one bubble lens, extra photo card, filters, etc. I may not have the quality of equipment I would like to have but hopefully I have the items to get the shots I love.Feedback
I really believe photography is an art; you have to see what the camera is going to pick up and hope you capture it. If you have taught yourself most of your photography skills, like me, multiple shots of the same thing helps.
