Leif Erikson embodies the spirit within each of us that brings us to seek that which is beyond our reach. This shot occurred in front of Hallgrimskirkja Church in Reykjavik, Iceland. While all the tourists stood in the same few locations to freeze the moment for memory I wandered from the normal path to see the moon behind the statue of Leif. I found inspiration in the timing and the symbology that led to this momentary image
