Location
This picture was taken in a sunflower field provided by Taylor's Produce of Preston, Md. At the end of the summer, they plant a field of sunflowers for the neighborhood to enjoy. During the "photoshoot" my daughter was wearing black pants and I asked her to hold a bunch of sunflowers in front of her pants to create the black backdrop. Then I just took a close-up.Time
I believe this was taken about mid-afternoon.Lighting
This was all natural lighting as it was out in a field of sunflowers.Equipment
The only equipment used for this was a Canon EOS Rebel T5. No flash was used, no tripod, nothing "fancy". I stood back a distance and used my 330 zoom lens.Inspiration
I thought it would be a great contrast to have the bold yellow of the sunflowers against my daughter's black pants.Editing
I used Adobe elements to sharpen the colors. In my camera bag
I carry my Canon EOS Rebel T5 and three lenses. The "kit" lens that came with the camera, a zoom lens to 300 ft., and a 50 mm lens for portraiture type shots. Additionally I carry a small, cheap, add-on macro lens. I have a "crystal ball" but am still experimenting with it.Feedback
Sometimes you have to go with what you are given. It is not always easy, for me at least, to "set up" a picture or plan ahead for what I want to take. Often I find the shot in the moment.
