I've always felt at home with the ocean, and also love sunsets, so it was amazing to be out with my camera, sitting on the beach that night

Location

This photo was taken in Central Saanich, on Vancouver Island.

Time

For this photo, I had just bought a new lenses and wanted to try it out. I was looking after Buster at the time, so decided he would be a good candidate for trying the new lenses.

Lighting

I generally like bright sun, allowing for shade to play a roll in my photos. It was at christmas time, mid day, and I'd taken Buster for a walk.

Equipment

I'd used my Canon T6i camera with a 100-300mm lense

Inspiration

I love dogs. And, I'd just got the new lense, so what better candidate to take photos of?

Editing

No adjustments! It is just how the photo turned out

In my camera bag

My favourite lense is my 17-85mm lense, but I'll also have the 100-300mm, the 18-55mm, a 24mm, and a 50mm. I always bring my tripod, extra batteries, and extra memory cards!

Feedback

Treats. Or a ball. Something to have the dog/puppy very focused on you/the camera. Get them to sit, holding their attention piece (treat, ball, toy, etc.) very close to the camera
