Location
This photo was taken sitting on a local beach in my city. It was overcast with cloud cover and smoke from wild fires on the mainland. The bay itself is very sheltered, allowing for usually calm waters.Time
It was taken early afternoon, I had been spending time with a friend, and we happened to sit on the beach for a late lunch, and I was able to take the photoLighting
It was a bright day, but with the clouds and smoke, the lighting was evened out, with no harsh shadows or linesEquipment
Shot with a Canon Rebel T6i, with the 18-55mm lenseInspiration
I love just carrying my camera around, on hikes, walks, any kind of outing I think my have opportunites to take photos. I love the ocean, so any time I am there, I generally have my camera.Editing
There is no post processing in this photo! In my camera bag
I normally carry three lenses, recently added a fourth, I have the standard 18-55mm, a 17-85mm, a 100-300mm, and now a 50mm as well. An extra battery is always handy, as well as a spare memory card. I also like to have my battery grip that I can add on if it is going to be a long day out and about with photo opportunities.Feedback
Be patient, do not try to force an image, I find that my nature shots are more in the moment. I am never going out with the idea of a shot, never thinking of a specific thing I want to find.
