The photo was taken on the driveway of a winery close to where I live.Time
Oh goodness I think I took this photo around 2 or 3 pm.Lighting
I was really pleased that it was cloudy out because it had just finished snowing again so I went out with my mother and I wanted to see the driveway of the winery because it’s lined with trees and when I saw it I took many many photos of it.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3400 and two different lenses. I used a 18-55mm and a 55-200mm lens. No tripod or flash for this photo.Inspiration
I always loved watching classic movies and fell in love with tree lined driveways. I knew this winery had one and I wanted to see it in the snow!Editing
Absolutely! I pick out which photos I like and throw them in Lightroom. I’ll crop it if it needs it but mostly I looked to see if the exposure needed fixing, made the trees a little darker, and put a preset on the picture. In my camera bag
I always have one of my camera bodies that I want to shoot with that day in my bag. It could be my Nikon D3409 or my D750. I keep extra batteries, a charger, lens cleaning kit, I take 3 lenses with me all the time so the basic ones are a 18-55mm, a 55-200mm and a 70-300mm lens.Feedback
I think something that I was told by my photography professor in college was to just “go for it, it doesn’t have to look exactly like it and it won’t because this is your photo not theirs.” You can photograph as many snowy tree lined driveways that you want and it may look similar or like mine but something will always make it your photo and not mine.
