I took this at the Shenandoah University River Campus at Cool Springs Battlefield.Time
I remember sitting in the passenger seat of my mom’s car and taking this around 2-4pmLighting
I didn’t really have much control over the lighting until I put the image in Lightroom! I did want it to look a bit dark though!Equipment
I used my Nikon D3400 with a 70-300mm lens!Inspiration
We were just driving along the road and saw the deer up on the hillside so we stopped and that allowed me to get this picture!Editing
I did do some post processing! All I really did was adjust the lighting so that the background wasn’t as dark and so that both deer would be seen.In my camera bag
I always take extra batteries and SD cards! As well as some lenses! I usually take my 55-200 mm lens and my 18-55mm lens. The camera body I most use is now my Nikon D7500.Feedback
If you wanna get pictures of deer similar to this definitely take your time and move slowly. If you move too fast or make sound they’ll hear/see and most likely run away.
