This is the closest representation of me watching the Perseid Meteor shower of 2018. I left all the meteors as it is and stacked all the stars as it is. I posed in one of the frame towards dawn and blended with the main Star Trail. The result is this.

This photo was taken in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada.Time
It was taken in one of my most memorable night. The Perseids meteor shower was supposed to take place on the night around peaking around 2 AM. So I started around 7PM from my home in Toronto and reached there by 11 PM. I scouted a couple of lake and saw that the shower has already started. Without delay, I pitched the tent beside a lake for a nice prop facing north and started taking the shots after setting up the tripod.Lighting
The available ambient light was very low and even with long exposure it was pretty dark. So I decides to put my headlamp inside the tent which did create a nice interest and Illuminated the foreground too at the same time.Equipment

Night sky in general has always fascinated me. On top of that the natural phenomenon like meteor shower was even more interesting since it amazes me on how some rocks literally from outside this world lits up our sky and ignites imagination!Editing
Yes, I did take multiple shots for the meteors and the stars. Also separate shots for the foreground since it was taken with longer exposure and nearer focal point. One more exposure to make sure the Illuminated tent does not blown out. All the shots are merged in PS to make sure I recreate the scene as per my impression of that night. In my camera bag
I always keep my favorite Nikon D750. Recently I always take 3 lenses with me Tamron 15-30,24-70 and Nikon 80-400. This helps me to cover the whole focal length range required for LandscapeFeedback
Night photography, in general requires a bit patience and study. Study well on where the milkyway or North star would appear. Check your moon position and angle on that night. If you are taking shots of Meteor shower, make sure to preselected a nice foreground which will complement the night sky well.
