The Perseid meteor shower as observed from Algonquin Provincial Park. It was a magical night with no wind and still water. Lots of mist near the lakes, but Nikon anti-fog lens wipes did an excellent job.
I stacked all the meteors during 3 hours in a particular direction as seen in the northern position of sky. There were about 80-90 meteors that I observed but my camera could capture about 25. I stacked the brightest among them in this shot. Very tedious job indeed. FG was shot with a separate exposure and focus stacked.
BTW Do you notice the smoke emitting from the brightest meteor ? It lasted in about 4-5 frames (each for 2 minutes).
