Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Melbourne Zoo, Parkville, Victoria, Australia.

Time

It was taken on 28th September 2018 at 10:47 am.

Lighting

It was an overcast and drizzling day and 10:47 am

Equipment

Canon EOS 40D TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 A022 ƒ/6.3 600.0 mm 1/125 640

Inspiration

He was just sitting under an awning trying to keep dry. He fixed his eyes on my camera and continued to stare right at me, looking so forlorn.

Editing

Just cropped to romove distracting background and to emphasize his expression.

Feedback

Like most photography, be patient, adaptable and be ready is the best advice. You can sit for hours and not get a single good shot. But without warning they will do something that will enable you to take a remarkable shot. I love photographing wildlife. When I'm able, it is in the wild, in their natural habitat. When travel is not possible, you can still get some great shots at zoos and nature parks.
