Love your camera. I have a Century View that was made in 1896 (looks very close to this one & is an 8x10 folding camera). When was this one made?

Not sure of the year, I will check it out. Although marketed as Photex View No 2, I believe this was made by Century and possibly sold by the American School Of Art And Photography Scranton PA. The books you see to the right has this camera is listed in them. I track this set down and negotiated with the guy for over a year. So much historical information.

Location
I captured this image in my home. This display is part of my camera collection.Time
Shot this image late morning, I needed good light from a window.Lighting
I used light coming in from two windows.Equipment
Nikon D700 with an older Nikon ED 50mm 1.4 lens. I also used a small step ladder to get positioned high enough being this display is about 6 1/2 feet at eye level.Inspiration
I purchased this camera from an elderly neighbor whose father was a photographer. When researching this camera I found it was sold by the same company that published the books that are in the photo. I thought the display looked nice and decided to photograph it.Editing
I use several editing tools. I always import my RAW file to Lightroom and make a few adjustments. After that I am in Topaz Studio where I spend the most time post-processing. I end up with some finishing touches in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I shoot with a Nikon D700 or a Sony A7R mirrorless. I have a large selection of Nikon ED, AF and AF-S lenses as well as adapters to use older Canon FD mount manual focus lenses. When using my Sony I shoot with vintage c mount lenses. My favorite c mount brands are Kinoptik, Angeniuex, Cooke, Wollensak and Birns & Sawyer Hollywood lenses. These lenses were designed for 16mm cine cameras. I use these lenses for the amazing creamy bokeh they create.Feedback
