While viewing the animals at Sofia Zoo in Bulgaria I found this bee searching for nectar a bunch of flowers. I was fortunate to capture it's proboscis extended into a bloom. Handheld in natural light. Sofia Zoo was founded by royal decree on 1 May 1888, and is the oldest and largest zoological garden in southeastern Europe.
