Spring, just before sunset. Backlit with the sun that makes the lake water a white mirror.Lighting
Backlight: the sun reflects on the water of the lake. I chose to hide the direct sun behind the tree branches. I used the trunk to create a natural frame.Equipment

The photo was inspired by the natural frame created by the tree on the right and above and by the boats on the shore below, which enhance the central subject of the island's houses in the middle of the lake. The sailor who looks at the sun adds a human element to the photo.Editing

To focus on subjects on different planes it is necessary to use rather closed diaphragm values like f / 8. Choose a spot metering system for exposure preferring details in shadow, leaving the reflection on the water overexposed.
